The Body Clock Reset
Deep sleep and steady energy after 50 — without sleeping pills.
A 90-day protocol for resetting the body clock that decides when you sleep, how deeply you sleep, and how much of the next day you actually get to use.
Instant download. Read it tonight.
You are not a bad sleeper. You are running on a clock that drifted.
It is ten past three. You are awake, and you were not woken by anything. The house is quiet, and your mind is not — it has already started on tomorrow, or on a conversation from 1994. You look at the clock, do the arithmetic on how much is left, and that arithmetic is the thing that keeps you up.
Or you sleep the whole night through and it does not count. Seven hours, on paper. You wake with the particular flatness of sleep that went through the motions without ever going deep, and you spend the first hour of the day waiting to feel like you have arrived in it.
Then the afternoon. Somewhere after lunch the floor gives way — not tiredness exactly, more that the lights dim on everything you meant to do. You push through it with coffee, or you give in to it, and either way the evening is a write-off and the night that follows is worse.
And somewhere in the last few years you started saying it is just ageing. That this is the deal now, and the sensible thing is to stop complaining. That is the part worth arguing with. Sleep does change with age. But “changed” and “this bad, permanently, with nothing to be done” are not the same sentence, and most people have quietly signed the second one.
The reframe
Why ordinary sleep advice stops working after 50
Almost all of it treats sleep as a behaviour — something you do, in the last hour of the day, well or badly. Wind down. Dim the lamps. Lavender on the pillow. Breathe in for four and out for eight. Try harder to relax, which is the only instruction in the English language that is self-defeating by construction.
But sleep is not a behaviour. It is an output. It is what happens downstream of a body clock that has already decided, hours earlier, when you will get sleepy and how deep that sleep will go. If that clock is set to the wrong time, the evening routine is arriving far too late to matter.
This is why the advice feels like it is failing you personally. It is not. You are applying a behavioural fix to a timing problem. Lavender and deep breathing cannot override a mis-set clock — nothing done in the last hour can, because by then the decision has been made.
Change the clock and the behaviour stops mattering so much. That is the whole idea, and everything in this book follows from it.
Clocks drift in four directions
They do not all go wrong the same way, which is exactly why generic advice misses. Most people recognise themselves immediately in one of these.
Delayed
Your clock runs late. Sleepiness arrives long after you went to bed, and mornings feel like being dragged out of the wrong time zone.
Fragmented
The night does not hold together. You get to sleep well enough, then surface again and again — the 3am waking is the signature of this one.
Flattened
Not much separates your day from your night any more. The signal is faint in both directions, so sleep is shallow and daytime is foggy.
Misfed
Your eating schedule and your clock are telling different times, and the afternoon collapse and the restless night are both downstream of that.
Not sure which is yours? Take the free 2-minute audit — it points you to the pattern to start with.
What’s inside
The 90 days, in three phases
The order matters more than any single step. Each phase makes the next one work; done out of sequence, the later moves land on a clock that is not ready for them.
Phase oneAnchor
Before anything else, the clock needs something to hold on to. This phase is about light and wake time — the two strongest levers you have, and the two most people are using by accident rather than on purpose. You will fix the time you get up and what you do with the first part of the day, and you will keep that fixed while the rest of your sleep is still a mess. It is the least glamorous phase and the one that makes the other sixty days possible.
Phase twoDownshift
With the clock anchored, the evening starts to matter again. This phase covers temperature and how you use the hours before bed to make the descent into sleep steeper rather than gentler. It also contains the 3am protocol — a specific, rehearsed sequence for what to do when you wake in the night, which is the thing most people get catastrophically wrong by lying there negotiating with the ceiling.
Phase threeFuel
The last phase is meal timing and supplements, and it comes last deliberately — it is the phase everyone wants to start with, and starting with it is why it usually does nothing. Once the clock is anchored and the evening is working, when you eat becomes a lever instead of a footnote. The supplement chapter is as much about what to stop taking, and what the evidence does not support, as what to add.

Why you can trust this
The honest version of a sleep book
Sleep is one of the worst-served subjects online. It is worth saying plainly how this one is built.
Every physiological claim is cited to published research. Not “studies show” — the actual source, so you can go and read it, or hand it to your doctor, or disagree with it.
It tells you where the evidence is strong and where it is uncertain. Some of what is in this book rests on solid ground. Some of it does not, and those parts say so. A book that presents everything at the same confidence level is telling you something about its author, not about sleep.
It is built around CBT-I — cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, an established behavioural treatment — rather than a proprietary gimmick invented to have something to sell.
It tells you explicitly when to stop and see a doctor instead. There are patterns that a book should not be treating, and this one names them rather than quietly hoping you do not have one.
None of that makes for a punchy sales page. It is the reason the book is worth $37.
Who this is for — and who it isn’t
This is for you if…
- You are over 50 and your sleep changed somewhere along the way.
- You wake in the early hours and cannot get back down.
- You sleep a respectable number of hours and wake unrefreshed anyway.
- The afternoon takes more out of you than it should.
- You have tried the standard sleep hygiene advice and found it thin.
- You would rather understand the mechanism than follow instructions on faith.
- You are willing to give it 90 days.
This is not for you if…
- You have a diagnosed sleep disorder that needs clinical care. This is educational material and it is not a substitute for the treatment you are already owed.
- You are looking for something that fixes tonight. It will not. The first phase alone runs for weeks.
- You want a supplement to take rather than a routine to change.
- You are not prepared to move your wake time and hold it there.
- You want certainty. This book is candid about the limits of the evidence, and if you find that unsatisfying you will find the book unsatisfying.
The guarantee
Read it, and if it is not what you were led to expect, write to us within 7 Days and we will refund you. You do not need to justify the decision or return anything — there is nothing to return.
We would rather you asked for your money back than kept a book you are not going to use. The list above of who this is not for is there for the same reason.
Questions
Is this medical advice?
No. It is educational material about how the body clock governs sleep, and it is explicit about that. It does not diagnose, treat or cure anything.
It also names the points at which you should stop reading and go and see a doctor instead — which is the part most sleep products leave out.
Will it work if I have had this for years?
Length of time is not the obstacle people assume it is. A clock that has been drifting for a decade is still a clock that responds to light and to a fixed wake time.
What we will not tell you is that years of disrupted sleep resolve in a fortnight. That is what the 90 days are for.
What if I take sleep medication?
Keep taking it. The protocol is designed to be compatible with prescribed sleep medication, and nothing in it asks you to stop or reduce anything.
If at some point you want to change what you are taking, that is a conversation with your prescriber and only with your prescriber. Never alter prescribed medication on the strength of a book.
Is this just common-sense sleep hygiene?
No, and that is the point of it. Sleep hygiene is a list of behaviours for the last hour of the day. This is a timing protocol, sequenced across 90 days, built on the mechanism that decides when you get sleepy in the first place.
If dimming the lights and avoiding late coffee had been going to fix this, it would have fixed it by now.
How fast will I see results?
Honestly: mixed. Some of the first-phase changes are noticeable within days, particularly if your wake time has been wandering. Others take weeks, because you are moving a clock rather than flipping a switch.
The full picture is what the 90 days are measuring. Anyone promising you a transformed week is selling you something else.
What format is it in?
A digital download, available immediately after purchase — the book plus the printable tracker and bedside card. The Complete System adds the Notion Command Centre, the Doctor Visit Kit, the Sleep Environment Audit and the Partner Guide.
Nothing is shipped and nothing arrives in the post.
Do I need to buy equipment or supplements?
No. Everything the protocol depends on is free. The Sleep Environment Audit deliberately separates the fixes that cost nothing from the ones that cost money, so you can see which is which.
The supplement chapter is optional by design, and a fair part of it is about what the evidence does not support.
Ninety days from tonight
Deep sleep and all-day energy after 50, without sleeping pills — by resetting the clock the sleep depends on, in the order it will actually respond to.
Instant download. Read it tonight. If it is not for you, the refund window is 7 Days and we will not ask you why.
One last honest note: this is a system you operate, not a miracle you receive. It asks for ninety days of small, specific, unexciting changes in a particular order. What it gives back is a clock that keeps proper time — and sleep is what a clock like that produces.
